Jürgen Himmelsbach, long-standing Head of the Finance Division at TÜV NORD GROUP, will move to the Board of Management on 1 September, taking responsibility for Finance, Controlling and Administration. He will be following in the footsteps of CFO Elmar Legge (61), who intends to retire.
Legge became the Member of the Board of Management responsible for Finance upon establishment of TÜV NORD GROUP in 2004, and the Supervisory Board has recognised his vital contribution: “Dr. Legge played a defining role in steering the merger of the TÜV NORD organisations with RWTÜV.”
Jürgen Himmelsbach joined RWTÜV AG in 2001 as Head of the Finance Division and continued in this position when the TÜV NORD GROUP was created. For six years he also headed the Legal Department.
Himmelsbach, who is 46 years old, was born in Lahr in the Black Forest and studied Business Management in Saarbrücken with the main focus on Finance, Accounting, Auditing and Trusteeship, Controlling and Civil Law. He completed the first stages of his career in Berlin at Management Consultants KPMG and the listed company Berliner Elektro Holding AG (today: AdCapital AG).
He is married with one daughter.
Besides Himmelsbach, the Board of Management of TÜV NORD AG consists of four members: Guido Rettig (Chairman), Klaus Kleinherbers, Harald Reutter und Dirk Stenkamp.
