TUV India publishes Handbooks on regulatory and FSMS requirements

Project - Food Safety | 09.04.2015: TUV India in association with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has published handbooks on regulatory and FSMS requirements for Meat and Animal Casing Industry and Generic Food Processing Industry.

As part of the ongoing Food Safety Project: “Improvement of Food Safety Hygiene and Product Quality in the Indian Food Processing Sector”, TUV India in association with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has published handbooks on regulatory and FSMS requirements for Meat and Animal Casing Industry and Generic Food Processing Industry.

Topics of the handbook focus on PRP’s i.e. pest control, process and personal hygiene, identification and categorization of hazards, identification and evaluation of CCP’s, CCP decision tree, determination of control limits, risk assessment, GMP, sanitation practices, Standard Operating Procedures, specific requirements with respect to system implementation in industries and FSSAI requirements.

Upcoming handbooks for the sectors: Bakery & Confectionery, Spices, Processed Foods and Sweets & Snacks.

Handbooks would be distributed to the participants during the “2-Day ISO 22000:2005 Implementation Workshop” for these respective sectors, free of cost.

We earnestly request the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises to participate and benefit from these programs and be part of the special PPP Project to implement FSMS in their individual companies.
