With the Germany Scholarship, the TÜV Nord associations support 82 students at universities and colleges

06.03.2025

With their commitment to the Germany Scholarship, the TÜV Nord associations are once again supporting particularly motivated students this year. A total of 82 students at universities and colleges are being supported this year.

For more than a decade, TÜV NORD Group's largest shareholder has been supporting Bachelor's and Master's students, mainly from computer science, engineering or science courses at Leibniz University Hanover, Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Hamburg-Harburg University of Technology, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Braunschweig University of Technology and Clausthal Zellerfeld University of Technology. Scholarships were added last year at the University of Hamburg, TH Lübeck, FH Westküste/Heide, TU Darmstadt, University of Rostock and TU Berlin.

Thomas Rappuhn, Chairman of the Board of Management of the TÜV Nord associations and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TÜV NORD AG, personally presented scholarships to the selected students at the TU Hamburg-Harburg and the University of Hamburg. He emphasized: “With the Deutschlandstipendium, we are supporting urgently needed specialists and managers of tomorrow. We are thus taking responsibility for this important social task and contributing to the future viability of the German and European economy. At the same time, we establish initial contacts and ties between the scholarship holders and our company.”

Holger Sievers, board member of the TÜV Nord associations, accompanied scholarship handovers at the University of Rostock, Leibniz University Hanover, Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Clausthal-Zellerfeld Technical University. A number of handovers were made by other TÜV NORD representatives.

The Germany Scholarship was introduced in 2010 by the then Federal Government. Most state and state-recognized universities in Germany now offer this programme for the top-level promotion of students by the federal government and private sponsors. In addition to first-class grades, social commitment and special personal achievements and challenges are also taken into account. For example, students are involved in sports clubs or political parties, care for relatives or are single parents.

In addition, the TÜV Nord associations support research and doctoral projects at universities and colleges from the TÜV NORD GROUP's range of activities.
